SETTING OUT FOR CONSTRUCTION (5 DAYS)
Our 5-day CITB Assured course teaches the fundamental principals of setting out using automatic levels and total stations, which can be applied to all aspects of construction projects including, earthworks, roads, buildings, foundations, piles, structural steel, structures, reinforced concrete, houses. The course is suitable for beginners and those who already have experience but would like understand the fundamental principles and ensure they are using best practice.
LEVELLING & SETTING OUT BY TAPE (2 DAY)
This 2-day, CITB Assured course teaches the principles of levelling and using a tape measure to set out construction elements or to take basic surveys. Delegates will learn to record their work in a methodical way, incorporate checks into all their levelling work, set up vertical control points and check that the instrument is working correctly. The course is suitable for beginners and those who already have experience but would like to understand the fundamental principals and ensure they are using best practice.
TOTAL STATION FOR CONSTRUCTION (3 DAYS)
Our 3-day, CITB Assured course teaches the fundamental principles of using a total station to set up primary and secondary control points, build vital checks into all setting out tasks, record work correctly, carry out simple field checks on the instrument and use the powerful onboard functions for maximum flexibility and productivity. The course is suitable for complete beginners and those who already have experience but would like to understand the fundamental principals and ensure they are using best practice.
AutoCAD FOR SITE ENGINEERS (2 DAYS)
Our CITB Assured AutoCAD course has been designed by Site Engineers for Site Engineers. If you are tired of scrolling through video platforms trying to piece AutoCAD tutorials together, this course has everything you need in one place. The course is suitable for beginners and takes you through all of the main functionalities you will need to use in the role of a Site Engineer. Our content delves into useful tips and tricks that are not widely known to even experienced users. You will learn how to create and work with AutoCAD models appropriately, manipulate the model to extract relevant data, create features, georeference import and export data from field controllers, create setting out models and much much more!
ROBOTIC TOTAL STATION (1 DAY)
This 1-day CITB Assured course is aimed at Engineers who are fully conversant with the principles of the total station and who would like to apply their knowledge and experience to a one-person robotic total station. Delegates will learn how to set up the instrument, use the on-board functions for maximum productivity and transfer data to and from the total station in various formats.
Robotic total stations have a number of great features built into field controllers. This course will teach you how to use these features to ensure you use the instrument to its full potential.
GNSS AWARENESS (1 DAY)
This CITB Assured course is for Engineers who use GNSS for setting out and surveying on construction sites. Delegates will learn the fundamentals of GNSS, how to set up control points, check and monitor accuracy, carry out a topographical survey, use the on-board functions for setting out, measure areas and volumes and work with DXFs and DTMs.
GNSS on the surface appears easy to learn and to use but without the fundamental knowledge, often the user can set out or survey incorrectly. This course will teach you everything Site Engineers need to know about GPS and equivalent technology to ensure you use the equipment correctly and to its full potential.
LASER SCANNING FOR CONSTRUCTION SURVEYING (3 DAYS)
Our 3-day CITB Assured course is aimed at Engineers who use or want to be able to use laser scanning technology on site. Delegates will learn how to set up the laser scanner, check and monitor accuracy, carry out laser scans of their site, use on-board functions and learn how to post process the information.
DRONES FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION - INTRODUCTION
This 1-day, CITB Assured course teaches the basic theory and considerations for drone use for construction applications.
This course is aimed at anyone who would like to understand how drones can be used in a construction environment and what is involved in carrying out a drone survey and preparing the deliverables.
DRONES FOR USE IN CONSTRUCTION - INTERMEDIATE
This 1-day, CITB Assured practical course covers drone use in the construction environment including planning a project, executing the project on site, carrying out a flight and processing the data.
This course is for those who would like to use drones in a construction environment and effectively use the data. Delegates must carry out the CITB Assured course ‘Drone use in construction – introduction’ before attending this course.
3D MAPPING AND MODELLING SOFTWARE - (2 DAYS)
LSS / n4ce / Civil 3D / Trimble Business Centre
This CITB Assured course is for Site Engineers who would like to get to grips with data preparation and manipulation using software which interfaces with the total station. The course is suitable for beginners and takes the learner on a journey from learning how to navigate the system to (by the end of the course) carrying out advanced functions such as reporting volumes and areas, calculating material quantities, create setting out models, importing/exporting data to on board controllers, creating accurate machine control models, creating drawings and presenting them professionally and much more!
MACHINE CONTROL FOR SITE ENGINEERS (1 DAY)
Leica MC1 / Trimble Earthworks/ Topcon 3DMC
Our 1 day, CITB Assured machine control course is delivered using desktop simulators to give delegates the more realistic and safest learning environment possible. This course is aimed at Engineers who are fully conversant with the principles of GNSS, total station, coordinate systems and CAD and who would like to bring them all together into the context of Machine Control. Delegates will learn how to prepare and manipulate data, tie into site control points, work with the cab display unit, take as-built surveys and carry out checks to ensure that the equipment is set up correctly.
MACHINE CONTROL FOR OPERATIVES (1/2 DAY)
Leica MC1 / Trimble Earthworks / Topcon 3DMC
Our CITB Assured machine control course is delivered using desktop simulators to give delegates the most realistic and safest learning environment possible. This course is aimed machine operators who are required to work with machine control technology. Delegates will learn the essential basic information required for switching between different displays, working with layers, taking measurements using the bucket or blade and carrying out fault-finding checks. The training is suitable for trainee or experienced machine operators.

OPEN COURSES
We have regular dates throughout the year for all of our training courses. Open courses allow delegates to participate in a group setting and learn from others in the class.
DISTANCE LEARNING
Our distance learning option is ideal for those who struggle to get time away from work to attend courses. Blended learning also lets you complete the course modules in your own time and at your own pace.
IN HOUSE TRAINING
All of our courses can be delivered as in house training for you company. This option is ideal if you have a group of people you would like to go through training.
1-2-1 TRAINING
1-2-1 training allows delegates to learn directly from the instructor without other people present. This option may be suitable if you would prefer not to train in an open learning environment.
REMOTE DELIVERY
Many of our courses are suitable for online remote delivery. This is ideal for those who would prefer to learn from the comfort of their own home or do not wish to travel to our training venues.
